Paul & Paul have been working
together at The Walcot Studio in Bath for the past two years.
Paul O’Connor has been a freelance photographer since
1988 and Paul Hames has a background in design and Art Direction.
Together this dynamic duo are stamping their mark on the
worlds of fashion and advertising.
Shooting mainly on digital and working closely with an
array of illustrators and photo manipulators, they combine
to create exciting and well executed imagery.
Paul O’Connor comes from the school of Ansel Adams
and spent the first half of his career buried in a darkroom,
rarely seeing the light of day for weeks on end. Things
are different since the advent of digital, and O’Connor
now spends the majority of his time behind the lens of his
Canon 1DS, rarely sensing the pungent aromas of developer,
stop bath and fixer.
Paul & Paul
see themselves as a think-tank for ideas-based photography,
and their skills have not gone unnoticed in the fashion
industry: successful ad campaigns for Paul Smith, Diesel
and their most recent project with Ted Baker are testimony
to their increasing popularity with ad agencies and design
consultants. |
