Helens interest in art and composition moved towards photography when she became a parent. Having previously worked within the constraints of the darkroom she is now an avid fan of digital photography as the possibilities are endless and more exciting than ever for both photographer and client.

Having photographed my children as they grew up. The pictures I never tire of are those which capture their personalities. Those unique little expressions sometimes subtle and always individual, precious memories caught on camera which always make me smile. So whether it’s the park, the river, beach or your own garden, you decide. Children relax and have fun, forgetting I’m there, the results are much more real than in a studio.

I prefer a journalistic approach, a style that builds up a story of your day from start to finish with an intimate collection of photographs, some formal, others un posed and natural the subjects often unaware they are being photographed. A wedding is an emotional and sometimes chaotic day, but always full of fun and spontaneity, which I have found without fail always requires my keen feminine eye for detail. Smudged lipstick, forgotten bouquet or crooked headdress... it always shows in the final pictures.
