Image Libraries


Image Libraries are the perfect place to look for both inspiration and images that you cannot take for yourself. The range of Image Libraries that can be found is truly impressive, with them covering all subjects and situations. Many Image Libraries comprise of databases of images sorted by subject, but also by colours, size and age, allowing you to browse and search for the exact image you need. Image Libraries can give images that provide a great reference point or demonstration of historical moments and situations, and can be a great starting point for your own project. Many Image Libraries belong to museums and art galleries, functioning to provide reference images of the media and general public. Image Libraries that have been produced by museums and art galleries include the National Gallery Image Library, the National Portrait Gallery image Library and the Natural History Museum Image Library.
