About the Last Refuge Ltd
Last Refuge Ltd was formed in 1992 while studying wild Giant Pandas in the Qinling Mountains of Central China, and they have worked on projects in Ecuador, Madagascar, Malaysia, Thailand, Namibia, Tanzania, Mali, Morocco, Europe, North America, Venezuela, United Kingdom, Rwanda, Conga and Guyana. They are a small company who dedicate themselves to supporting endangered environments and species through films, images and research. Last Refuge Ltd have access to a huge collection of still photographs
taken on professional quality film and digital formats from every
continent. The basis of the collection is formed around Adrian Warren's
personal archive of 35 years travelling on scientific expeditions and
with the wildlife film making industry. The archive also featues the
aerial photography of Dae Sasitorn; the scanning electron microscopy
and macro-photography of David Spears; the underwater photography of Ed
Whiting and Michael Pitts; the anthropological work of Dr Jim Yost and
Dr Audrey Colson, whose historical records of certain South American
indigenous peoples are unique; photography of Burma, Thailand,
Cambodia, Australia by Cameron Hansen and Hilary King; images of Iran,
Syria, Jordan, Libya, Morocco, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Italy, Pakistan and
Tibet by Julian Chichester; extreme adventure and exploration by Leo
Dickinson; a comprehensive photographic resource of history of both
civil and military aviation by David Halford; photography of British
wildlife and domestic animals by Colin Seddon; of reptiles by Tony
Phelps; and images of wildlife, landscapes, peoples, and environments
by John Waters, Will Brett, and Michael Richards.

For magazines, prices range from £50 to £660 depending on the size of the article and the usage of the magazine. A similar price structure is adopted for newspapers, with prices ranging from £50 to £460. Images are available for use in books and prices range from £50 to £520 depending on a variety of factors including where the book is to be published, and how many languages it is to be published in. Pricing for brochures and leaflets varies from £65 to £400 depending on the size of the photo spread and the size of the print run. Prices for CD-ROM and DVD-ROM vary from £125 to £405 depending on the number of countries of publication and the size of the print run. For non-commercial use on the internet a fee of £50 is charged, for commercial use this rises to £100. Exhibiting rates vary from £130 for a one off 10" exhibit to £3000 for a 50" or larger image for the duration of 1 year. The prices for posters vary from £265 to £900 ranging from a print run of 1,000 30" prints to 100,000 prints of 45" or larger.
