Sussex Camera Centre

Established in 1946, founded by Alan Chase, an RAF photographer, Alan Chase Ltd started its life as a photographic studio. This quickly grew into a studio and retail outlet and Sussex Camera Centre was born under its original trading name of Horsham Camera Centre.

As the business developed more stores were opened under the Sussex Camera Centre banner and became renowned for excellent service. Over the years Alan Chase Ltd has gone from strength to strength and is regarded as the south's premier digital photo-video retailer, its high reputation gained by its unrivalled CUSTOMER FOCUSED SERVICE, EXPERT KNOWLEDGE, VAST PRODUCT RANGE and COMPETITIVE PRICING POLICY.

Direct sales via mail order were first offered in 1992 selling mainly film packs. This was nurtured and developed into a full mail order catalogue selling our complete range of hardware and software lines. In 1996 this was taken a stage further offering pioneering ideas and services to the insurance industry for insurance replacements. In a very short period Sussex Camera Centre had become the exclusive supplier for photographic and video equipment to the UK's largest household insurer.
