Description
The ethos behind the Digital Dawn is simple: We offer in-depth tuition mixed with enthusiasm and inspiration so you can really develop as a photographer. We teach you new skills about how to capture the moment out on location and create landscape images that are unique to you. Our groups are never more than five photographers so you receive a high-level of one-to-one tuition and we offer courses in Britain's most beautiful and dramatic locations. It's a combination that attracted more than 150 photographers in 2006, beginners and experts alike, with many returning for their third and fourth course.

The Digital Dawn's 2007 landscape photography courses in the Yorkshire Dales, Northumberland, Lake District and Scotland are in full swing and Bruce Taylor made this excellent detailed image of the turning tide at Craster during our latest course in Northumberland.

Digital Landscapes Courses
This course is designed to teach you the entire photographic process from the creative enjoyment of finding and making the image out on location, to learning all the technical aspects of using your digital camera to it's full potential. The final section teaches you how to use the Photoshop imaging software to produce a professional-standard print to take home with you. Maximum five photographers per course.

Advanced Landscapes Courses
These advanced-level courses take you to some of Britain's most beautiful and dramatic locations. They concentrate solely on the creative and compositional aspects of landscape photography, with the emphasis of the tuition being to separate the seeing and making of an image from the technical side of taking a photograph. The vast majority of time is spent out on location with the opportunity to slow the image-making process down and explore each location's potential to the full. Maximum five photographers per course.

Weekend Waterfall Workshops
These weekend workshops offer the opportunity to learn about landscape photography while making images at some of the country's finest waterfalls. We offer an introductory weekend for photographers who are keen to develop an eye for landscapes but also want to learn how to use their camera to its full potential. The second type of workshop is dedicated purely to the compositional side of landscapes, concentrating on the creative rather than technical aspects of landscape photography. Maximum five photographers per workshop.

One-day Workshops
These popular Saturday workshops are based in Swaledale in the Yorkshire Dales. They provide practical tuition for those new to landscape photography through to photographers who want to to explore further the creative aspects of image composition. Maximum five photographers per workshop.
